ViSÀ-Vis – Life After Yale with ViSA Alumni
ViSÀ-Vis is a series of events where we reconnect with ViSA alumni to talk about their lives and careers after Yale. Watch our video discussion with an alum by clicking on their name (you must be logged into your yale.edu account to view). You can also find their contact info here. Feel free to reach out to them anytime.
Davis Nguyen (BK '15) is a former ViSA president ('13) and treasurer ('12). Before Yale, Davis grew up in Atlanta, where he overcame significant challenges (e.g. his high school was the only public school in the US to lose its accreditation) to earn acceptance to Yale though Questbridge.
At Yale, Davis majored in Economics and was involved heavily on campus across more than 14 organizations including 7 within the AACC. During his time as ViSA President, ViSA membership grew to being one of the three largest organizations under the AACC and earned him "Most Outstanding Leadership" award in 2013. Davis graduated in 2015 with honors, including the David C. DeForest Prize, the Townsend Premiums, and the Nakanishi Prize.
After Yale, Davis worked at Bain & Company as a management consultant, then at Jumpcut, an educational startup, as Vice President of Operations. In 2018, Davis founded his own consulting prep company, My Consulting Offer, which helps students become management consultants and has been CEO of since.
Davis has a passion for helping others, and he's excited to share his lessons learned with ViSA – on how to make the most of Yale, how to pick a career, his experience being a management consultant/working at a startup/working in education/and being an entrepreneur.

Tammy Pham (PC '15) is a former ViSA cultural chair ('13). She was born in Ho Chi Minh City, and grew up in San Diego, CA after immigrating to the United States at the age of two. At Yale, she majored in Cognitive Science and enrolled in Directed Studies as a complement to her pre-medical coursework. Outside of classes, Tammy volunteered at Yale-New Haven Hospital, held a part-time job at the Haas Family Arts library, and found immense joy in such extracurriculars as Pan Jam & Lime Steelband and Phoenix Dance Troupe.
After Yale, Tammy took a research year working at the Cohen Children's Medical Center in Long Island, NY, where her efforts ultimately resulted in eleven publications, many of which were presented at Pediatric Academic Societies National Meetings. Following her research year, Tammy enrolled in medical school at the University of California, San Diego. She was an active leader of the UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society in 2019 for excellence in compassionate, patient-centered clinical care and leadership. She currently resides in San Diego with her husband (a fellow Yalie) after completing a research year in head and neck surgery, and is looking forward to her final year of medical school.
In her free time, Tammy mentors a local FIRST robotics team, focusing on machine shop training for girls interested in engineering and robotics. She is also an avid rock climber and competing member of the UCSD Collegiate Climbing Team.
